Buying locks from WOWSPORT
We design and build our own hardware, then sell it through Amazon.com.au instead of through a bike shop. That is why a lock costs what it costs at the factory gate rather than at the counter — and why we can still stock the keys and brackets years after you buy.

Locks — common questions
Sizing, compatibility and maintenance for locks.
Which bike lock is hardest to cut?
A U-lock with a 19mm hardened steel shackle. Both ends lock into the body, so an angle grinder or bolt cutter has to defeat two points instead of one, and the shackle cannot be twisted against the ground the way a chain can.
How long should a bike lock be?
65cm suits a frame plus a fixed rack. 100 to 103cm is the all-rounder: frame, one wheel and a post with a little slack. 120cm is for two bikes, or a thick post plus both wheels. Length costs weight and money, so buy for where you actually park.
Can a cable lock be cut?
Yes. A braided steel cable stops someone walking off with an unlocked bike, not someone with cable cutters and thirty seconds. Treat a cable as a second lock that secures the wheels, and use a U-lock or chain as the primary lock on the frame.
What if I forget my combination?
There is no master key and no recovery code, by design — a master key would open every lock we sell. A locksmith can cut the cable or chain, but the lock will not survive it. Set the code somewhere you will find it that is not your phone.
Will a U-lock scratch my frame?
Our U-lock ships with a full silicone sleeve over the shackle, and the cable is PVC coated, so the parts that touch the frame are soft. The bracket mounts to the frame with rubber shims. Any lock will mark paint if it is rattled around loose, which is why the bracket matters more than the coating.
